The platform allows users to deactivate vehicles directly from the Vehicle Details page. The process depends on the type of connectivity:

📝 What happens next?
- The vehicle is immediately removed from your fleet.
- No billing or additional steps are needed.
- The OEM connectivity—if available—can be reactivated later by re‑adding the vehicle.
For vehicles using Targa hardware, deactivation includes the option to recycle, or permanently deactivate the device.
Follow these steps:
Open the Vehicle Details page.
Scroll to the Deactivate Vehicle section.
Select a deactivation mode:
Click DELETE.
Confirm the action in the pop‑up.
The device is deactivated but can be reused later.
This option is ideal when you want to transfer the device to another vehicle in the future.

⚠️ Operational Considerations
To use this device again, you will need to stock it. When requesting the installation for the new vehicle, please make sure the installer knows that a new device should not be installed, as the recycled one will be reactivated and mounted instead.
Extra costs:
Recycling a device involves operational costs from Targa. These costs include both the deinstallation of the device from the current vehicle and the installation in the new vehicle, performed during the same service visit:
The device is permanently decommissioned.
It cannot be reactivated or installed in another vehicle.
